Nooo, how about start spreading it to bad people first? (Even though we're supposed to be evil, it doesn't hurt to do some good....while taking over the world) The parasites would be attracted to evilness(not including us, we're immune), so they can latch themselves onto their hosts without us having to do all the work. And the parasite should be something common in life, probably a juicy looking berry that the host (unsuspectingly) ingests, allowing the parasite in. Now isn't that wonderful? :D "

Yes but, we also need a 'strand' of the virus/parasite that controls smart people! That way they can't come up with an antidote.
I don't think it should be a berry. Perhaps a virus that spreads from person to person contact. Like maybe a zombie type thing, they move slower, get a little bit more strength. Intelligence would be suppressed, that way they can take orders but not have rebellious ideas. They should also have an uncontrolable hunger that will also 'keep them in check.'
